SEI Laser pioneers the generation of dot patterns that allow uniform light distribution within any shape
Following the continuously growing market demand, SEI Laser has developed a new calculation system dedicated to Backlight applications, in order to obtain an emission of highly uniform light even through non-rectangular shapes of acrylic panels.
This calculation system was born specifically just for objects with a circular shape; we then pushed our research further, by finding specific algorithms that satisfy other application needs that could live independently from the object shape.
With this new function, SEI Laser anticipates the application possibilities of its direct competition, increasing the company capability to generate new business opportunities by developing new trends.
HOW IT WORKS:
In order to satisfy this Lighting industry new trend, a newly created function has been included in Icaro Backlight program: starting from a generic Bitmap design, made with any common graphic software, it is possible to generate dot patterns able to extract the same level of brightness from every point marked on the entire surface.
A necessary condition to achieve this result is that led sources are regularly distributed throughout the entire perimeter of the geometry.
Moreover, as for rectangular panels, the operator can make a sequence of recursive corrections until the desired level of uniform light distribution is achieved.
APPLICATION FIELDS:
- Decorative lighting
- Home and office lighting
- Technical lighting for industry and business
- Commercial and retail lighting
